A year in the life

What we actually do.

Scouting is a hands-on program. Here's a look at how Pack 4018 and Troop 4018 spend their year — from monthly campouts to community service to summer adventures.

Adventures

Spring & Fall Camporees

Hundreds of Scouts from across the region gather for skill competitions, themed games, and giant evening campfires.

Campouts & Cooking

Every month has an outing. Scouts plan menus, shop, and cook on real fires — Dutch oven cobbler included.

Hikes & Day Trips

Adirondack peaks, Saratoga Battlefield, and shorter family-friendly walks close to home.

Community & Preparedness

Visits with local fire departments and first responders, plus Scouts pitching in on volunteer projects close to home.

Citizenship & History

We march in the Greenfield and Saratoga parades, visit local historic sites, and learn what it means to serve our country and our town.
